Arizona Wedding Photography | Catalina Foothills Private Estate | Inspiration: Hippies, Biceps and Burlap | Part Two
{Arizona Wedding Photography | Catalina Foothills Private Estate | Inspiration: Hippies, Biceps and Burlap | Part Two } If you didn't catch Part One go HERE! Brent & Erica's wedding continued on. okay.... i asked Erica to just run into Brent's arms like she did when she saw him the very first time. And unfortunately i didn't catch it, but she totally jumped nearly over him. He barely caught her and this is them laughing so hard about it...
but then we did finally nail it... and then this pretty little girl came to give them a few gifts...something about an inside joke and using random pieces of nature to mean something special....they just giggled a bit about it. i took pictures. and i'll never know the rest of the story. and then it was cake time :)i love succulents. I'm convinced God had fun when he was making the whole breed of succulents. they are hardy. unique. and beautiful when displayed appropriately spun around to catch this little tike enjoying his first lime...:) the wedding was at this awesome private estate that used to be a "Bed-N-Breakfast" in the Catalina Foothills. They kept things casual and low key by having the dance party in the drive way...
love this last one. it's just an amazing picture of surrender...:)Thank you so much for letting me be part of your wedding day Brent & Erica. Seriously can't stop grinning about the laughs and funny moments. I totally felt at home with you and your family! | joy, LKM

{Lauren | Ventana Canyon Couture Bridal Session | Tucson Wedding Photographer}
Lauren's grandmother MADE her incredible wedding dress. Jaw-dropping right? Hand-laced. Hand-loved. I haven't been able to do very many bridal sessions and it was extraordinary. The ability to relax, capture these still moments in this one of a kind dress, laugh and giggle a bit with the bride-to-be, practice moving and enjoying her wedding dress ...it was really special. I'm so glad we did this Lauren. I'm so glad you took the time and thought to honor your grandma and all the sweat, blood and tears that went into this piece of art. You are a joy. | lkm
We specifically wanted to get pictures of grandma actually working on the dress...
and of course grandpa got to sneak in a kiss as well :)
and then we went to go enjoy some of the glowy sunset up in the foothills of the catalina mountains
Harry + Hilary | A (RAINY) Tucson Desert Engagement Session | Saguaro National Park
{Harry & Hilary | Dessert Engagement Session | Saguaro National Park, Tucson, AZ | Laura K Moore Wedding Photography} Harry & Hilary made me beam for a solid 2 hours. Granted, this was the wettest engagement session I have ever shot. BUT, I'm pretty sure it ranks up there with a favorite. From the backdrop they chose (saguaro national park) and the special little personal nuances they brought along with them...I'm pretty sure we nailed something special! they ride bikes in this park ALL the time...notice Harry on the right below? yea, that's him attempting to be serious...attempting.. notice the rain?? :D did i mention we got wet?? i love this one... and this one... i LOVE that point of complete abandonment. when i can step aside and a couple trusts enough and is comfortable enough...to just love each other. they laugh ALL. the. time. Oh Harry & Hilary, you two were definitely a highlight for my weekend! I hope you enjoy these moments captured as much as I have! | lkm
Amir + Maribel | Tucson Engagement Session | Wedding Photographer
{ Amir + Maribel | Tucson Engagement Session } These two have been a treat to shoot this past season in Tucson. We met at a bridal expo last April and since then, we've shot a 3-part engagement series that has me tickled pink to share! My favorite thing about these two....how gentle and poised both of them are; so 'put-together'...refined...a constant sense of 'class' sorta oozes from both of them. And yet they hired me for their wedding because, (i quote) 'we had so much fun and need someone to bring out our fun side'. yes, ma'am! | lkm (note: this is one LARGE chunk of awesomeness for a single blog post. but i refuse to break it up into "sections"... :D i like the fact that they progressively got more and more comfortable each time we went out for a shoot, played, laughed, kissed....kissed some more... these two just 'fit' together :D){ Downtown - pt 1 }{Downtown - pt 2}Can't wait for wedding time Amir & Maribel! 10xs more awesomeness awaits us! :D | lkm
Mark + Leanna | Arizona Urban Flare & Railroad Fun | Engagement Session
{Mark + Leanna | Engagement Session | E Downtown Tucson, Arizona | August 2012 } Mark & Leanna were a treat to shoot! The sun was great, the weather was perfect and the more we laughed the more 'at ease' the lovebirds became. If I'm not mistaken, Mark got increasingly giddy as he smooched and loved on his future bride. I think one of my most favorite things is whatching a couple just fall into place. Taking pictures isn't easy. Posing can be awkward. Kissing on command sometimes feels weird. But by the end of M+L's session Leanna was blushing, Mark was beaming and I just glowed with deep satisfaction. Not to mention, I got home from the shoot and promptly sat down with my husband to show him a few favorites. To which he replied, "Sheesh. He's beautiful!" I think he has a man crush. Weird... In my opinion, I can't get over Leanna's baby blues. Or are they green? I'm so conflicted. :D | lkm
Thank you so much for hangin' out Mark & Leanna. I hope you had as much fun as I did! :) | lkm
Tyler + Megan | Tucson Engagement Session | Pt.2 - "Romance in a Desert Wash"
{Tyler + Megan | Engagement Session | North Tucson | April 2012} After we hit up T + M's favorite date spot (See Part One), we sauntered over to the nearby wash (a common landmark in Tucson). I wasn't sure what to expect. As a photographer stationed in the desert (grin) I'm still workin' on my collection of locations and backdrops to shoot in...I'll have to write more about the changing and challenging scenery later. While Megan was anticipating a couple romantic hugs on the bridge I suggested we jump down INTO the wash (which was an impressive feat for a client in a sassy dress, a pregnant photographer and a grip of camera gear). But we did it and I was so glad we did! The sun was setting and provided a soft glow as a few tall, assuming weeds played off the neutral tones of the lovebird's wardrobe. I was eyeballing the sunbeams streaking through the bridge pillars knowing that that was where i'd wrap up the shoot...
Tyler + Megan are getting married in Alburquerque, New Mexico next month. I am SO excited for them to start this new chapter...AND finally get to live in the same city. They've been doing long distance for the past few months and my heart goes out to them. While distance is a pretty 'safe' way to do the engagement period, it's gut-wrenching. Been there. Done that. Thank you so much for letting me be part of these memories T + M. I hope this last month of preparing for the celebration and the rest of your lives ROCKS and is full of great, great amazing joy! | lkm
